We are very grateful to our founder Director Dr. Sushila Nayar for her encouragement and support at that time.  We are also grateful to our dynamic President Shri. Dhiru S. Mehta for continued support and strengthening the Bioinformatics Centre all these years.

In those days internet was not so familiar and it was difficult to getcontinued internet connectivity, in small towns in particular.  Our aim was to update medical teachers, students and practitioners by providing SEVAMED in their hand which contains selected references and abstracts of recent research work on infectious diseases.

Now the time has changed.  Now a days internet is easily accessible and it has become a part of our lives. Hence we felt in addition to giving selected references and abstracts in printed copy, we should place all the references as suggested in BTISnet Coordinators’ meeting with link to abstracts online for easy retrieval with interactive web pages which will be beneficial to the researchers, medical practitioners and teachers.
